In our Carpe Diem Pension we have preserved the authentic Czech style; we offer you single and double rooms in Prague with traditional furnishings, in a historical building with high ceilings and wooden floors.

At Marcela's you'll find large rooms on the third floor of a historical building, close to the National Theatre. On the same street you will find the U Fleku pub, which is famous for its beers and the electric athmosphere; just around the corner is Laterna Magika, home of the best ballet in Prague.

It takes only a few minutes walk to the Old Town Square from Mrs Marcela's. The rooms are large and sunny, although the bathroom is shared with one other room.

The breakfast is not included in the price; it costs 100CZK per person (or approximately 3 euros). Although there are many cafeterias in the area, I would suggest not to miss Mrs Marcela's breakfast, at least once while you are in Prague: this is a traditionally Czech breakfast which you will surely enjoy.

New Town

New Town, which is adjacent to Old Town on the eastern bank of the Vltava, flourished in the 18 th century as an industrial and commercial center. The heart of the New Town is without doubt Wenceslass Square (or Vaclavske Namesti), knows both as a center of commerce and nightlife. Wenceslas Square is actually a boulevard, not a square.
